12.19.15 ‘Put a sprinkle on your nose, on your nose’

I met Julia when I was in 6th grade, and we’re still being goofy together some (mumble mumble) years later.

Me and Julia and the Taj Mahal

Today she had me (and some fellow amazing friends) over to tackle the singularly difficult building of the Taj Mahal … in shortbread. And sprinkles. And frosting.

I was unable to stay for the completion (with luck, I’ll have a picture of that tomorrow), so for now just enjoy the frenzied activity and the unbridled optimism for creating structures with food.

(Also, her 6-year-old and I played an amusing game of “put a sprinkle on your nose,” which amused her to no end.)

Friends are the best.

xo,
