Temptation, the sequel

Well, I know how I'm spending my federal rebate check:

From one George to another

And based on the ticket prices, I'm going to need every penny. But I missed Wham and any solo tours back in the day, so it's payback time. I want to shake my shimmy at Madison Square Garden and just enjoy the sheer entertainment of it all.

I'm sure George Bush will be thrilled to know that the money he's sending me is going to a liberal gay British pop star. Come to think of it, I think he'd sell a million more tickets if he marketed the tour that way.

Laws, I hope GM does "Love Machine," but I think there's as much chance of that happening as there is of him opting out of unfortunate facial hair.

UPDATE: I now have a ticket for the July 23rd show — on the floor! Hurrah!

GM is kind of like roadkill for me…as in, you don’t want to look, but you can’t help it. Well, that and the fact that he’s an amazing singer. 🙂

I thought about trying to attend but he’s playing really crappy (and gigantic) venues here. I’m too old for that now; prefer smaller venues.

But I am going to the Yaz reunion tour.

I figure it’ll be a really good show. I’m not a nutty fan but I have really enjoyed quite a bit of his music over the years.

And you’re right — he’s his own worst enemy!

MSG is actually pretty good for a huge venue. If it was Giants Stadium, aside from my transportation issues, I’d definitely avoid.

I looked up the Yaz tickets, and it’s funny — while I know I’ll be paying lots more for GM, I just couldn’t justify $65 for general admission for them. If you’re making me stand, I’m going to want to pay less.

I LOVE George Michael, but then again I love most gay men. Does anyone else think Clay Aiken reminds them of a young George Michael. I love it when Clay gives interviews where he says he “just hasn’t found the right girl yet” uh huh…

What every happen to Andrew Ridgley? Its like he fell off the face of the earth?

I think Ridgeley is around, but beyond racing cars I don’t know what he does. Oh, I did learn recently that he married one of the Bananarama gals!

I love this!  And if there was ever a moment in ‘the now’ that made me get Wham! goosebumps, it’s this.

    Have a great time!!!
